Wonderful place for a restful vacation. Bar Lanai is a great place to eat,Best in Acapulco. Owner, Miguel,Chef Renee, and the entire staff serve Great food, great service all in a relaxed pool side resturant.
Oscar Gomez, a Great tour guide at Torreblanca, offers many different tours locally as well as over night stays in different locations. He makes sure you are safe and have a great time. He speaks Engish very good and is very helpful to interpret for you, also will help you get the Best Deal. We have taken several tours with him and and plan on taking more when we go back.
The desk clerks, Jesus and Martin also are very helpfull by answering any questions you might have or making reservations for you. Also will help you get a Taxi .
We have been to Torre Blanca many time and always look forward to returning.

“Beware of Torre Blanca”

Torre Blanca Condominium

A real positive to our stay at Torre Blanca was our tour guide/driver Oscar Gomez Perez. He speaks excellent English and drove us in brand new air conditioned ten passenger van. He was prompt, polite, cheerful, and we felt very reasonable for the wonderful service we received. He even made dinner reservations for us at Bakal and was waiting for us when we finished. We did the overnight trip to Taxco and really enjoyed it. We were glad not to have to do any driving in Mexico. He picked us up at the airport for $15 per person round trip and waited an hour and forty mintues beyond the time our plane landed for us to clear customs. His email is [-------]Torre Blanca is not near anything so you do need to book tours or rent a car. You can walk to the beach side town of Puerto Marques, but there isn't anything there to speak of. Our condominium was terrible, but I don't know if others were better. Our unit was part of the Royal Aloha exchange program through Interval International. World Vacation Club also has units in the building. I can only warn about the Interval exchange. Our unit was described as having central air, but it wasn't working. The smaller of the two bedrooms had a window with no screen and the office couldn't get us one. We had to leave the window open but then the room filled with mosquitoes. The hall window had a screen but the window couldn't be opened. The air conditioner vent in the living room was black with mold and heaven knows what else. We did get some air conditioning after we told them that the filter looked like it had never been cleaned, but the size of the unit was not at all adequate for size of the condo. The cabinet that held the toaster, microwave, coffee pot had chipped and peeling paint. The fact that the unit was very basic was not bothersome to us. It was that the unit was not properly maintained. We had to pay an extra $25 to have the air conditioning turned on. You had no choice since some of the windows had no screens and didn't open. We were told that the building will be undergoing a redo starting in June.

“A great english speaking tour guide”

Torre Blanca Condominium

I have been trying to catch a guide in Acapulco in a lie in every way possible and I have with most except for Oscar (the tour guide of Torre Blanca). He is very honest and a great tour guide. All the trips he has designed are better than what the tour guides in the airport have and the price is very reasonable.

His entire family speaks English so he has had much practice, especially because he gives these tours everyday and where a happy face at what ever he can.

He is a great guide.

“Torre Blanca Condo Puerto Marquez/ Acapulco”

Nice Place. Clean, Nice staff. Not child safe however. This would be a 3.5 - 4 star place. Decor is mexican. Nice marble floors throughout. The staff are helpful and for the most part cheery. The condo is attached to a bar/ restaurant which serves high quality though pricey mexican fare. They call it the Bar Lanai, and it is more of a restaurant than a bar. Rooms are good quality. The furnishings are well used and are sub par. ie. upholstry has some small tears. Each room is a kitchenette and has most everything that you would need. No blender however. They cheaped out a bit on the cookware, although they have replaced the cookpots and they are brand new. Fridges are being replaced. Ours was older but worked very well. When cranked up it kept our food at -3.4 c ( Much more than the required +6c)The place is far from the action. No good for spring breakers. Average age of guets here is about 55. A can ride to downtown ( ie. Walmart) is about 70-80 pesos ( $US 7-8). The place is built on a hill, with nothing else and there are 200 stairs if you are going for a walk. It does influence decisions about how badly you want to go somewhere. It is in Puerto Marquez which is a very small, very poor village. Some neighbourhoods in Pt Marquez are worst I have seen anywhere for cleanliness. They are off the beaten path. The main street in Puerto Marquez is fine. People in Puerto Marquez are laid back and friendly. Puerto Marquez is a favorite destination of the 25 million people that live in nearby Mexico City. Weekends are busy with Mexican tourists. Tour buses congest the narrow streets of the village. There are some concerns for child safety that should not be overlooked. 1) The balcony doors are clear glass with no tint or markings. Our little guys went into them thinking they were open. We wrote wavy lines in soap. Mgt didn't like this, but were helpful and put sticky notes on the glass which they prefered. 2) The gap between the railings on the balcony is such that a child 6 or less would be able to stick their entire body through the bars by turning to the side. Watch out. 3) The floors are marble and very slippery when you come in wet from the pool etc. Very unforgiving if you slip and fall. 4) The railings on the stairwells are inadequate. A child, stumbling on the stairs could easilytumble onto the next lower flight of stairs. 5) Electrical: No Ground fault Interuption plugs anywhere. (Code for bathrooms and some kitchens areas in US and Canada).
