This B & B is located close to the historical center and shops, close to a swimming beach, and right on the malecon (beachwalk). We were able to either walk where we wanted to go or pick up the local pulmonias (golfcarts) from the front door as one is always driving by. The house is beautifully renovated with all of the comforts of home, including security as the front entrance is gated. There is a gorgeous kitchen, a comfortable sitting area with tv and dvd, and terrace areas to sit and contemplate the completely unobstructed view of the Pacific ocean right across the street. The owners, Candace and Jim, seem to know everything about Mazatlan and treat their guests like family. This is not a cramped hotel with grumpy staff and noisy guests, but a fun, relaxing, and lovely place to spend a holiday. We would love to come back someday!
One general tip: We took pulmonias up to the Mazatlan Hotel Playa to sit under their palapas and swim, good boogie boarding waves. There are many restaurants and shops in the Golden Zone and it is only $5-$6 to get there from the inn.
