My boyfriend and I attended a wedding in February at Playa Fiesta and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and the living room overlooked the ocean. We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite and had only two minor cons: the rooms not facing the ocean were not as private since they faced the walkway corridor and we had to leave our curtains closed for the entire stay also, they did not receive a lot of natural light (the master bedroom was definitely the best as it had plenty of sunlight, privacy, and its own bathroom). Otherwise, the suite was great: full kitchen; there were no bugs (not even mosquitoes), and the bathroom was large and decorated with simple yet classic mosaic tiles. The staff was exceptional, especially the evening bartenders (ask for Charlie!). The wedding planner was extremely gracious and very helpful to everyone. This hotel is great for family reunions, weddings, or any type of celebration.

Where do I begin? What an amazing place and everything you read from all the people who post are true and then some. We just got married there on January 25th and it was a dream come true, a breeze to plan and the hotel and Lindsay make you look like the wedding planner of the year as a bride! The staff are all amazing from the maids and cooks to the bartenders and the front desk. I felt like I was at my Mexico home--I wish! Let's just say I liked it there so much I seriously want to move there and be Lindsay's assistant!! After our blissful week we left for our honeymoon in Careyes at an amazing hotel, however I was so disappointed in the honeymoon hotel because I loved Playa Fiesta so much. They make you and all your guest truly feel at home and cater to your every need. We cannot wait to go back and visit Adam, Lindsay, Jefe and Baby. We were married almost a year ago at Playa Fiesta, and the memories and feelings of giddy joy and happiness from our wedding week are still just as strong as ever. The fondness we have for Playa Fiesta is deep in our hearts – it became like a home to us in the short time that we were there.

The setting is gorgeous and charming, and all of the stellar reviews about the Playa Fiesta team are true!! Everyone showed us such warmth and hospitality and made us feel welcome. We got to know the staff on a first name basis and the service was excellent.

After having plenty of time to reflect, here’s the shortest list I could come up with about what I would recommend for future couples getting married at Playa Fiesta:

* Trust Lindsay and Adam to create the best experience for you and your guests. They really understand the dynamics of everything and gave great suggestions whenever we had questions. Lindsay was brilliant in making sure she understood what we wanted for our wedding and then she carried out that vision beautifully.

* Get massages!! This isn’t something I normally do, but my husband and I got massages almost every day we were there – including on our wedding day. That was such an important gift to ourselves and it was especially helpful for me to have a little time for myself to really soak up everything that was happening.

* Go with the photographer you really want, even if it’s a splurge. We have the most amazing photographs of our wedding – it was captured so beautifully and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve poured over them.

Here’s the one thing I would have changed:

* Try not to worry too much about the “what if’s”. Everything works out somehow -- that is the magic of Playa Fiesta!! I remember spending hours trying to assign the rooms in as fair a way as possible and worrying quite a bit that someone would be unhappy with our decisions. This concern, and all our others, turned out to be non-issues.

Everyone loved Playa Fiesta for so many reasons. Celebrating this happy occasion with our family and friends in such an intimate, beautiful setting is an experience we'll treasure forever. We would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I recently returned to Playa Fiesta on vacation and found it still just as charming and magical as ever!!

It would be difficult to fully describe just how wonderful a place Playa Fiesta was for hosting our wedding. This enclave provides the perfect seclusion with beautiful ocean views from almost every room, while just a 5 minute taxi ride from town (whoever is running the front desk calls for a taxi which is usually there within 2 minutes.) The rooms are beautiful as are the flowers. The personnel is fantastic, friendly, happy to indulge your Spanish speaking at whatever level even though most are fluent in English.

Wedding preparation is clearly laid out in a schedule by Lindsay, who does a marvelous job at laying out the options and making everything just the way you'd like it to be. There are no surprises, every detail is cared for, and all that running around and anxiety you hear about for the wedding couple is avoided altogether. And we truly had the wedding of our dreams…all of our friends and family are STILL talking about it and want us to hold a group anniversary there, just so they can experience the magic all over again.

The other day I was debriefing a recent high-end wedding I'd been to in Los Angeles, and while it was very nice, both myself and my father agreed that it would be highly unlikely that we'll ever participate in a wedding as beautiful and majestic as my own. If this is the kind of experience you are looking for, you should consider Playa Fiesta.
