I got this hotel on Priceline for $144/night (Prices were higher due to the Vancouver International Marathon being in town). This hotel has a very good location, it's a very short walk to Waterfront station which hooks you into the West Coast Express/Sea Bus/SkyTrain etc. I personally came in by train, so I was able to take the SkyTrain from Pacific Central station to the hotel for $2.50.
Checkin was very good, staff were very friendly and polite. I was offered an upgrade for $30/night, but declined it and still ended up with a very nice room. I'm not sure I would call it a suite, it's not significantly bigger than your average hotel room, just has a separate room with a bed/tv and a livingroom. Since I was traveling alone, the size of the room wasn't a big deal anyways. The house keeping staff was good, got a free paper in the morning hanging on the door.
Overall I would stay again, but I still have a preference for the Hyatt (the only other Vancouver hotel I've stayed in).
