Wonderful castle, or what little is left. You get a real feel of how the place once was, and you get stunning views from the top of the cliff. As previously said, not a place for vertigo sufferers or anyone who has difficulty walking, otherwise, a great way to spend a few hours. Afterwards, head back to Tinagel and treat yourself to a Pengenna Pasty (Shop is on the corner, by the track that leads to the castle), best in Cornwall by a long way. And the ice-cream shop is also rather good! After the exertions of the castle, you deserve a few treats!

Very pretty, historical and interesting.
My fiance is not a lover of heights and the visit did involve walking down steep steps built into the side of the cliffs.
If you can deal with that, the views once you get to the sight of the castle ruins are wonderful. They are situated on rugged cliffs allowing a picture-perfect view out to sea and of the surrounding Cornish countryside.
Great place for kids, but not for people who are not prepared or able to hike a little.
Take lots of water, a picnic if possible and film for pictures and plenty of time to absorb the experience.
Wonderful for the entire family! Would I go again? Absolutely!!
