Stayed here on business. THe hotel is being refurbished and would recommend asking for a room that has been done. The room was large and comfortable, bathroom was very clinical but functional. The windows all have wooden blinds to cover them which means the room is never dark with light straeming in from outside. The food was very good value with a surprising menu mainly consisting of Thai food, although they also do British as well. The service was friendly and efficient.
My one complaint was the noise. I stayed midweek so no night club but there is a taxi firm next door and the railway station car park near. There was constant door slamming until after midnight and as the room doesn't have air conditioning you need the windows open when it is warm. To make matters worse at 6 am the dustbins are emptied, including the empties from the bar. Did spoil a reasonably good nights sleep. This is more a pub/restaurant which has bedrooms than a hotel, the facilities are basic, the room has small TV and tea/coffee but not much else Still at £69 per night B&B what more could you expect.
Worth a visit for a night or two but not much more. I am sure there are better quality hotels in the area but this is good value.
