The Travel Inn County Hall was a perfect place to stay for a family of 4. The room rates were reasonable and the location was great. We had a family room with a double bed, a single bed and a trundle bed. The room was ample for the four of us. We ordered the breakfast for the 2 adults and the kids (10 and under) ate free! The room is no-frills, but it is clean and quiet! We had no problems or lines in checking in on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to leave our luggage free of charge because we were taking a late train to Scotland. You can leave your luggage free of charge until 9 pm on the day of check out. The Travel Inn is next to the Westminster Bridge and a short walk to Westminster Abbey and Parliament across the bridge. The London Eye is next door, Waterloo station is a few blocks away, and Trafalgar Square is a short distance away across the Hungerford Bridge. One night, we walked down the river walk all the way to the Globe Theater. With the weak dollar, everything is expensive. We found ourselves eating just twice a day--a hearty breakfast at the Travel Inn restaurant and then a hearty late lunch/early dinner. We then bought snacks and drinks to munch on throughout the day. For the price and location, I would definitely recommend the Travel Inn to families!
