“Excellent location”

Harington's Hotel

Harington's is in an excellent location for visiting all the sites in Bath. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Two pluses for this city centre hotel, they can provide parking, (granted it is a 7 minute walk away but you can off load luggage first, and the rates are cheap £9 a day) AND this hotel is independant. We were a last minute booking and the only available rooms were on the 3rd floor. The room was compact but furnished well and the bed very comfy. The en-suite made maximum use of the space and the shower was bigger than average. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is wonderful, a great choice of cereals, pastries, fruit and cooked to order traditional breakfast, scrambled eggs, kippers and fresh fuit/yogurt/cereal knickerbocker glory. We pre-booked a restaurant for the first night and the staff were helpful in recommending a few restaurants for the Saturday, which they then booked for us. A delightful hotel we will definitely return and I will recommend to friends.

Harington's Hotel is brilliant. I was travelling by train and it’s just a quick walk from the station and ideally located for all the sites.

When I was shown where my room was, I was disappointed, as it was right beside the reception and I thought it would be very noisy. However, when I opened the door I discovered a wrought-iron spiral staircase! This lead up to my lovely bedroom, which looked out into the street, then another staircase led up to the very clean bathroom.

Breakfasts were very tasty and I actually had my dinner in the hotel on both nights, which I never normally do, as it was the best mushroom risotto I have ever tasted.

The Raven pub across the road isn’t noisy so won’t disturb your sleep. It is a great place for a drink though.

All in all, a fabulous hotel in a great location.

I didn’t review the hotel earlier because I wasn’t sure if I wanted people to know about it and have it fully booked the next time I go!

“Excellent Overall”

I was here with my family for one night (wished it could have been longer) and just loved the hotel. The family room more than accommodated the needs of a family of 4. The décor was fresh and clean with touch of modern. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was excellent from the food to the service and to facilities. The location was great, the shopping, restaurants and attractions were right at the door step. I am looking forward to going back to Bath and I will stay here next time as well.

“Average stay in a good location”

Harington's Hotel

This hotel doesn't quite live up to its "boutique" marketing. We stayed 2 nights in a superior double (room 1), and no matter how hard we looked, we couldn't find the bath that is in the photo on the website - only a shower! The heated towel rail worked during the day and all night, but not in the morning when you needed it most! The room overlooks the street (a thoroughfare for revellers) and the pub opposite, so expect some noise and take your ear plugs! The pillows and duvets were lumpy and uncomfortable. If you arrive by car, don't be put off by the map they give you to get to the car park, it just takes you round the "bizarre" one way system and the car park is only a block and a half away. On the plus sides: great location, only a few steps away from the main shopping area and museums; cooked breakfast was fine, shame about all the packet cereals, mass produced yoghurts etc and the mediocre service.

“Fantastic”

Harington's Hotel

We stayed in room 9 which was modern, bright and comfortable. There was no view or lift, that didn't matter. It was a fantastically central hotel, yet without the noise. Bed comfortable and shower good.
Reception were extremely helpful and friendly and breakfast was very substantial and well presented, not to mention exceptionally tasty.
We would recommend this to friends and would love to go back at the earliest opportunity.
