“Great little place”

Wookey Hole Inn

Stayed there for a long weekend. Delicious food and enthusiastic staff. Our room was spacious and clean with character. Lovely continental breakfast placed in a big basket outside the door early in the morning. Very convenient for Bath, Bristol, Wells and the highly amusing Wookie Hole Caves and Dinosaur Park a 2 minute walk away. Highly recommended and would return.

“Brilliant place!”

Wookey Hole Inn

Came across this place by chance when searching for somewhere to stay for my boyfriend's birthday. I normally look for special deals at 4/5* hotels but thought I'd try something abit different. I'm so glad I did.

This pub/hotel has a wonderful mediterrean feel to it. Alot of care has been taken over the interior design and the ambience is warm and welcoming.

Upon arrival were immediately upgraded because someone else had cancelled and were taken to a lovely room with generous amounts of tea/coffee and biscuits available, CD player and DVD all available to use. Again the room was fantastically designed - bright and airy.

The evening meal was fabulous (make sure you book a place when you book the hotel it is very popular) - clearly high quality meat/fish and an excellent chef.

I was loathed to write this review...because it would be nice to keep this place a secret - but since Tripadvisor helped me find the place I thought it was only fair!!

Enjoy.

“Different - in a very good way!”

We stopped here for a couple of drinks and lunch in September 2006, and we’re very glad we did. It’s only a couple of minutes drive from Wells, and completely different to what you would expect in this part of the country. It’s a nice relaxing place to sit and have a drink, and the food was excellent. It’s also great value – the mains on the lunch menu were all around the £7-8 mark, one of which was an absolutely enormous bowl of mussels served with fries and bread - two of our party ordered this and neither could finish! I’d highly recommend this as a lunch spot, and if the rooms are up to the same standard it would be a great place to stay too.

We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. It is a recently converted pub/small hotel and they have done a really good job. We had a look around the rooms and they are modern, clean and attractive. The only problem was they didn't do a cooked breakfast! They have WiFi installed which I went back again to use in the evening. The staff are very freindly and helpful. It makes a nice change to all those trad pubs/hotels in the area and its not 5 mins walk from the Wookey Hole Caves car park. Its sure to do well so book early
