I stayed at this hotel for two nights on a recent trip to Leeds; I have previously stayed in several other similarly priced hotels within Leeds. I would say that the very central location and on-site parking puts this hotel on a higher level from those other chains.
I drove to the hotel and was aware of the location, however if I were to believe my Sat-Nav I don’t know where it would have taken me? So beware! If arriving by rail you are only a few hundred yards from the hotels Whitehall Road entrance.
I arrived at the hotel at 16.30 and the underground car park had ample spaces.
The front desk staff were efficient, professional and friendly. The foyer is spacious with the restaurant and bar off the main foyer. There is a playstation near the reception desk, which may be ideal for residents with children; however there were no seats, so players wouldn’t get too comfortable.
The hotel itself is very close to the financial section of Leeds as well as the railway station and city centre shops, bars and restaurants.
The breakfast service is very good, I was impressed with the quality and choice of the food and the service from the staff.
As other reports have stated there is a building opposite the hotel currently under construction, (At foundation level July’08) however the “noise” didn’t start up until 08.00.
I would certainly stay here again.
