We stayed at Burness House for a few days at the end August/beginning of September 2005 and were very happy with our choice. The location is excellent, one block away from the Scores and 5 minute walk to the beach and golf course. It's just a minute to the center of town and a choice of shops, restaurants, etc.

Our room was spotless, well decorated and obviously recently remodeled. The breakfast was superb and the attention to detail is evident throughout everything at the guesthouse - setting of the table, room decor, etc, etc. Hazel and Laurie were exceptionally welcoming and went out of their way on several occaions to accomodate us. It was truly a great experience, not only due to a great location and excellent accomodations, but a pleasure of interacting with our hosts.

We hope to return to St. Andrews next year and would definitely stay at Burness House, if we can only get in :)
