“Great Food”

Crowwood House Hotel

Jun 13, 2008

Was working in the area for 4 days and the company booked me in here. It was fantastic, staff were all friendly and the food was out of this world (huge portions). We were on a DBB rate but went into Glasgow 1 night for a break - a great city. I'd be back in a heartbeat hope there is more work up there

“bad wedding”

Crowwood House Hotel

May 21, 2008

myself and ten guests stayed at the crowwood both the night before and after my wedding there. the night before was not the most pleasant with cobwebs hanging from the ceilings in three of the rooms given also the bathroom cleanliness was not up to scratch. the actual wedding was poorly handled by management and if you are looking for a good scottish breakfast i would not choose this hotel in a million years! nothing scottish or good about it! cold and tasteless! staff overall helpful but management awful!

“OK Hotel no wireless internet”

Crowwood House Hotel

3 of 5 stars
Manchester, United Kingdom
May 2, 2008

I stayed for one night. The rooms are OK but they are a little dated and I couldn't open the windows which were sealed. This freaked me out a bit! I was at the back of the lodge which is directly on the A80 and it was quiet.

I had room service which you need to go down and order but they bring it to your room. Food was pretty good. Breakfast was a bit like the ghost town. It's buffet style including coffee in a central pot and nobody arrived till I nearly finished, when I was asked if I wanted toast. No big deal though the breakfast was fine.

They had a problem finding me an ironing board, but I got an iron. There is no wireless internet in the hotel. In this day and age that is a little odd. I ended up in the lobby of their competitor the premier inn about half a mile away!

Overall an OK stay, but without the wireless I would probably not bother next time.

“Nice hotel and improvements are good”

Crowwood House Hotel

Apr 26, 2008

Clearly lots of improvements have been completed in the public areas and the bar, restaurant and function room are great. However, bedrooms are a bit dated and whilst clean, furniture and decoration is well worn. Make sure you ask for a room to the rear as the main road at the front is very noisy and the hotel close to the road. Overall a good stay though.

“Nice Place”

Crowwood House Hotel

5 of 5 stars
n ireland
Aug 7, 2007

This was my second time a the Crowwood Hotel and i've got to say what a difference. When it was a premier inn it was quite obviously forgotten about. I now believe it is privately owned and you can tell. There's a lot of love and attention has gone into this hotel. Really glad to see places like this getting the attention they deserve. Will def be back.
