I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in Jan. 2008 for business.
I think this hotel is best described as your typical business hotel nowadays--modern decor, etc., but nothing that really stands out.
The room I had was fine and had a balcony where I could see the river Liffey but it was extremely windy but nice nonetheless. My refrigerator didnt work and there was hair in the sink. I did get some strawberries and chocolate with a card upon arrival to the room; however, the card was addressed to a Mr. somebody and I am a Mrs.
I tried the food in the hotel at breakfast and lunch. The breakfast was fine with okay selection. Both days though it took a while to track down a waiter to bring coffee (the food is on a buffet). We had lunch at the restaraunt both days and the food was good with nice presentation, but I thought the service a bit slow. There are lots of offices around so there were lots of people in the rest. on their lunch break as well.
The best part of the hotel for me was the fitness area--nice and large with a good selection of equipment with a pool, suana, jacuzzi and a steam bath. This part is not to be missed.
A good 15 minute walk to Temple Bar and downtown, but it's a nice 15 minute walk along the Liffey if you like.
To sum up, I thought this to be your average business hotel (with the exception of the fitness area). It wasn't bad, but nothing fantastic.
