I frequently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Dublin until witnessing the manager get into a fist-fight with a guest.... which was when I tried the Jurys Inn. As a frequest guest it is a bit annoying that they don't keep my room preferences/frequent guest card on file, but this isn't a major issue and won't bother the traveller staying on a one-off basis.
The rooms are basic but adequate, which is more than can be said for the towels which are minature. Also, as a business traveller, it would be nice to have an ironing board in the bedroom rather than having to go to an ironing room. However, the beds are comfortable and the views over the river are good. I haven't encountered the noise problems that some others have mentioned, but I have yet to stay in the height of summer when I would need the window open.
The bar/restaurant is OK, but there have been a couple of occassions when my stay co-incided with a sporting event and it has got a bit rowdy with broken glasses not getting cleared up (maybe they didn't quite get the staffing levels right on these nights?).
All in all a good location, but if it wasn't as handy to the office I would probably try somewhere else.
