Booked this hotel via discount website and although I expected it to be comfortable after reading other reviews I have to say I was really impressed. Superbly clean, fantastic beds and what a lounge - very regal. Staff really helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

Charleville Lodge is a great base if you are staying in Dublin, the rooms are clean and the bed was so comfy. Good Irish breakfast (beans, tomato, sausage, bacon, egg, black pudding & white pudding) toast, juice, tea or coffee. If you are vegetarian it's beans on toast & tomato, as they don't do a vegetarian breakfast.

No. 10 bus will take you into the city centre, and the bus stop coming back to Charlesville is right outside the door. If you get a taxi from the airport, we paid 33 euros coming and it was 43 euros going back to the airport, not cheap, but then Dublin is a very expensive city. I would recommend the Charleville Lodge very good value for money.

Just returned from 4 days in Dublin. We picked the Charleville after reading good reviews plus the price was reasonable. Cost about 25 euro for a taxi from airport. Hotel was very nice. Reception area was being decorated when we arrived but this wasn't a problem. Room was fine. Not massive by any means but adequate with a fantastic power shower, comfy bed and a working tv. Breakfast was plentiful with cooked items plus choices of cereal and juice. We were getting picked up at 7 am by taxi for our return home and unlike other guests weren't offered any form of breakfast :( There is a tea/coffee machine in the hall but that's not the same as breakfast. The No. 10 bus is outside the hotel which cost 1.50 euro for a trip to city centre, so very handy. The only complaint I have but forgot to leave a comments form, was that the tiles in the bathroom could really do with re-grouting! All in all I would most definately recommend this hotel but don't expect to meet Irish people. They were all Eastern European!

High ceilings, ornamental moldings, china doorknobs, 19th-century ambience, a little worn but inviting, quiet, comfortable, modestly priced. No. 10 bus at door takes you everywhere. Excellent breakfast. Free internet. Friendly, helpful staff. Our second stay at Charleville Lodge, we would be pleased to stay again.
