We planned a surprise birthday trip for my brother-in-law which was to tour a few of Ireland's golf courses. We only had a week to stay so each stop was important to us. We had also planned to tour the Ring of Kerry" to visit our grandmother's birthplace. During our night in Kinsale and it was suggested that we stay at the Killarney Park Hotel. We drove to Killarney and went to the hotel and was met by the manager (Ms O'Shea); who promptly gave us a tour of the hotel and rooms. We were so impressed with her enthusiasm and hospitality that we booked for two nights. The rooms were lovely, the staff accommodating and friendly, and the service impeccable. Ms. O'Shea's motto was to lead by example which she and her whole staff did to the utmost. Our stay in Killarney was memorable and we all agreed when we return to Ireland; we will definitely stay at the Killarney Park Hotel again.

We tried to stay at the Best Western International, but being the weekend, we couldn't get a room. So, we walked across the street to the Killarney Park. It's a bit more posh than we wanted for the night, but it was a great stay. You are close to a lot of pubs and restaurants, and the shopping around the hotel is great. The room was great, and full of old world charm and character. They have a nice athletic facility, and its great to sit in the lobby and socialize around the fireplace.

This was by no means an Irish experience and we were disappointed accordingly. It is in a great place but the staff seemed to come from everywhere except Ireland and were not especially friendly or informative.The rooms were very small for the price we paid and we did not sleep sogood as there seemed to be a small party next door. The food was very good.

My husband and 5 month old daughter spent 4 nights in the Killarney Park. It was a wonderful experience and the staff went out of their way to make things as comfortable as possible for us. We received a complementary upgrade to a suite which was a godsend as we had travelled with everything including the kitchen sink for the baby. A fridge and high chair were given to us for the room and at all times our request for privacy was adhered to as we tried to get the baby down for sleeps during the day. The pool was great and we were able to introduce our daughter to the joys of swimming. The treatments I had in the spa were very relxaing and I would definitely recommend. Food in the bar was delicious. Overall we had a wonderful stay that was made all the better by very friendly, helpful staff.
