have just come back,
the hotel was overbooked so service was bad our set meal as part of our package was very limited we were very disapointed with the poor selection
our breakfast had to be served in the room no space in dining area
the dishes were not removed by 4 0 clock had to ring reception about room cleaning
too warm and stuffy tv kept going off
will not return and would not recomend thiis hotel

The hotel was totally overpriced, the food was of very poor quality. We ordered room service as we had a toddler with us and didnt want to dine in the restaurant. We got 2 main meals and 1 childrens portion which cost 50 euro and the food reheated and tasteless. We called reception to complain. An eastern european restuarant manager came to the room to deal with the complaint, when we complained she said that she would never order room service in a hotel. She reluctantly took back the food and we told her we wouldnt pay a single cent for it. Service was overall poor and the air conditioning was not working. Although when we complained they did not charge us for any of the food which was really what you would get in a takeaway..

Booked through Mariotts website, so got a pre-visit email advising of a 'Virtual Concierge' service - used it to book the restaurant, some extra towels and some Spa treatments.

On arrival we were told that the Spa was fully booked for that day - the had notice for 4 days, why didn't they contact us and let us know in advance.

The rooms are good size with an excellent bed, and a very large bathroom. Plenty of pillows, towels etc.

Staff were very good on the whole.

Food in the restaurant was excellent, service likewise, even putting most of the couples in a quiter room away form the louder parites of diners! nIce touch.

Very easy to get to from Dublin, I'd go back

I stayed here for 9 nights, so write with some knowledge about the serivce and hotel staff. I am also in the process of writing to the manager of the hotel over these issues.
On arrival given the wrong meal and argued with the waiter over my order, I was so hungry I just ate the meal put in front of me.
I was told there was no movie service until the Monday (I had arrived on Saturday). When I left 9 days later there was still no service. My guess is they say this every weekend thinking the guest will be gone by the Monday.
The breakfast tray from the previous room occupant was still outside my door at 5pm. Disgusting.
The heating was on the whole time I was there 24 hours a day. I rang the desk asking for it to be turned off, I was told I must be using the controls wrong, when I insisted I wasn't, 20 mins later the duty manager arrived iwth a 8 inch fan with an 18" cord. At 11pm at night. He told me the main thermostat was not working.
I got my towels replaced at 10.30pm one night when I was in bed. Knock at the door. Got up. Smiling staff. I wasn't.
No mini bar, I travel often and have never seen this before. You have to ask to have it filled.
Very limited room service menu. Believe me, I know, I went thru it twice. Oh and I never got exactly what I wanted when I ordered it, there would always be something missing, wine not there or no bread or no spoon.
My light in the bathroom was on the whole time I was there. I complained about it over 5 times, and in the end it became like a game, the waitress who delivered my room service got to asking me about it every night. She was the only pro-active one in the hotel.
I asked for a box of clothing to be shipped back to me, still waiting to hear back as it has not arrived here at home a week later.
Good points? Comfy bed.
Staff always smiled but there was nothing going on behind it, no follow up, no proactiveness.
This is a hotel which could not cope with the pressure of the major golf event the same week as it opened a new wing. As a result the service was lacking and made a long time away from home for me, even more frustrating and lonely.
