Well you cant find a much cheaper hotel unless you're prepared to check into a hostal! But its true, you get what you pay for. Some travelodges are quite bright and cheerful with good quality newly refurbished rooms. This travelodge however is quite depressing! I arrived at 10am so needed to store my luggage. they said due to security they coudnt do this. apprently this is procedure in all travelodge's! So i was left waiting along with other customers in the lobby for a couple of hours until the rooms were available. Try you're hardest not to get a room on a high floor. when i was there only one of the 2 lifts were working, which meant a looooooooooong wait for a lift, so i just took the stairs most days! The room was preety dirty to say the least, although the linen and towels appeared clean. the tv reception was a bit dodgy. depending on where you stay in the hotel, will depend on the quality of some channels. The parking was a nightmare unless you have a small car, but is very cheap.
So all in all, unless you can get a cheap room (19 or 26 quid a night) i really woudnt bother. Pay slightly more and you'll get a much better experience. And whatever you do, DO NOT take you're partner here!!!! They will not appreciate it!
