This is a great little hotel in a superb location - 150 yards or so from the river and with a lively street below.
The hotel is clean and attractive. Rooms are small, but attractive and with all the essentials (take your own kettle though if you like to make a brew).
The location is fantastic - the down side is that you're likely to experience noise late evening - so you may want to take ear plugs if this might be an issue for you.
Staff are very helpful, they went the extra mile to help us sort out a restautrant for New Year's Eve, and it was no trouble to leave bags on our last day when we were catching a late train.
Do watch out for pickpockets in Paris though, one of our party had her Ipod stolen en route to the hotel - not a great introduction to paris!
Breakfast in the hotel, or pick up your choice from the excellent boulangerie below.

While in Paris, I stayed in two different hotels (Hotel Muguet and this one), this being the latter and the better (from 12/12 - 12/14/07). We booked a triple room which came with: 1 double bed, 1 single bed, a flat screen TV (2 English-speaking channels), safe box, and a large-sized-for-Europe bathroom (equipped with standing shower, hair blow dryer and heated towels!!) The only downside to the room is that wireless internet connection is not free. (They sell access cards at the front desk and there is also an internet cafe around the corner from the hotel.) The front-desk folks are extremely nice and helpful!

The surrounding area can only be described as perfect! The area is very lively in the evenings and very safe during the day; we did a few morning runs along the River Seine, which is just a stones throw away. Right downstairs from you is a bakery for your morning croissant and coffee. On every street flanking the hotel, around every corner, and across the way are plenty of souvenir and Parisian shops (Etam, Cote a Cote). There are also numerous restaurant choices all around, a French book shop right across the hotel door entrance, and for those aching for a "regular" sized coffee by American standards, there is even a Starbucks just 2-3 minute walk away (although I preferred the downstairs bakery)!

Here is the approximate time/distance it took us to get to various places from this hotel:
Notre Dame Cathedral - 5-10 minute walk (cross the bridge and you're practically there)
Monmarte (for the Moulin Rouge) - 15-20 minute cab ride
Gare du Noir - 20 minute cab ride
Metro stop - 1 minute walk (Saint-Michel stop)

I would absolutely stay at this hotel again and definitely recommend it!

We LOVED this hotel!! I did a lot of research for a mother daughter trip that my mom and I took to Paris. It was very important to us to stay at hotel that had a good location, clean "American" bathrooms, and a great ambiance. This hotel is everything we were looking for. We waned to stay where the action was and this area of Paris is full of restaurants, sights, and shops. The hotel is a block of off the river and a few blocks from Notre Dame. It is also a block from the Metro.

The hotel is small and very cute and has a great Paris feel. There is a bakery downstairs that is to die for and has the best French pastries. It is a great place for breakfast.

We did all of the normal "Paris" things, but our favorite was just to wander around and look at all of the amazing architecture.

You will not be disappointed at this hotel.

Great location right in the center of Paris. Very clean room, staff were friendly. Great value. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Paris.
