We stayed in this hotel several years ago, but because it is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I decided to go ahead and write a review even though our trip wasn't recent. We booked this hotel through a travel agent in Germany - it was kind of a last minute decision to go to Paris so we didn't have time to research hotels. We realized it was only a 2 star hotel, but we figured we wouldn't be spending much time in the room anyway, so it was no big deal. Wrong. This hotel was absolutely awful. The place was a complete dump. The wall paper was peeling off - it just looked like everything was falling apart. They may have remodeled since we stayed there. It was noisy at night. Even though we stayed on the third floor, we could still hear people talking LOUDLY and laughing in the lobby area throughout the ENTIRE night - and these were the people WORKING in the lobby, not just guests - it was like they were totally oblivious to the fact that other people were trying to sleep. We couldn't get any sleep partly because of all the noise and partly because the beds were very uncomfortable - it was like sleeping on cots. We ended up in a room with 2 small beds that my husband and I had to push together. I can't remember if all their rooms had these beds or if we just couldn't get a king or queen size due to availability. The bathroom in our room was the absolute worst. It was filthy and smelled of mildew and we had to keep the door shut tight so we didn't smell it in the room. It would disgust me to even walk into the bathroom, much less take a shower standing in the nasty tub. Concierge services were also quite lacking. The hotel is close to the bus stop and you can get around to the Metro and other areas pretty easily, but don't count on the concierge to guide you. Also, there aren't many great restaurants close by, so it's not like you could just walk out at night and find a nice place to eat within walking distance. I would never stay in this hotel again.
