My husband and I were at Le Walt for 5 nights/6 days...May 15th to May 20 and we absolutely enjoyed our stay! While I may be repeating some of the other reviews here, here's a breakdown of our experience:
• it is located within a short walking distance to the Eiffel Tower
• there is a Metro station just a few steps away from the front of the hotel...extremely convenient!
• the breakfast buffet is not a huge spread by American standards, but it is more than adequate [ with scrambled eggs, sausages, croissants, danishes, bread, ham, cheese, cereal options, jam/jelly options, juice options, coffee options and i think a potato option as well] and for us, it was well worth the money since twice we got up early to enjoy the buffet at a leisurely pace before we headed out for the day...also, the ambiance of the dining area is such that we couldn't help but have a nice, relaxed breakfast experience
• since it is located within an upscale residential area, there are plenty of very good brasseries, patisseries, cafes, and fromageries just steps from the hotel entrance
• very close to the popular Rue Cler area
• the room [and hotel in general] is extremely clean
• the staff is kind and helpful, but not overly friendly
• there is an option to buy time on their one computer [available 24hrs/day] for the internet but it is slow
• the pillows are a little flimsy and flat
• the walls and doors are solid...though we were on the bottom floor close to the patio we didn't have any problems with noise and slept soundly
• bed is a little hard but not entirely uncomfortable
• though we stayed for nearly a week, the small closet was not an issue because we both packed lightly
Overall, we loved Le Walt and would highly recommend it!
