We stayed at the Hotel Devillas in June 2006 for three nights. Our room was clean and tidy, though basic and in need of redecorating. The bathroom was newly refurbished, and although small ,perfectly adaquate.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel, instead choosing to use a small brasserie only 200 mtrs away on boulevard de L'hopital, good value at only 5 euros each.
The room was cleaned and towels changed, daily, and the staff were very friendly.
Hotel location is good. metro station only 200mtrs away (right beside the brasserie), and the Gare de Austerlitz is opposite that.
Plenty of good restaurants nearby, place de Contrescarpe only about a 20 min walk,or in thr Latin Quarter only two stops on the metro. We were advised against the brasserie next door to the hotel.
On the whole Hotel Devillas represents good value for money if you don't mind things a bit basic, and it was clean and tidy.
