We stayed in this hotel as part of a month long bike trip round Europe. I had trouble booking the hotels I'd shortlisted and was grateful to find this hotel available. It was also very cheap, which, when you have a month's hotels to fund, was good.
The Hotel Mistral is a good, basic hotel. Its location is excellent - a few minute's walk from the Place de la Comedie, and, as we like being in the centre, we were delighted. It was also a quiet street - we had no noise trouble.
It is however a very basic hotel. Our room was clean but had absolutely no frills and the bed was slightly soft! If you're after a 'nice' hotel, this isn't it. But we were perfectly happy with our choice of hotel, as we weren't expecting great things.
The staff were very friendly and helpful - finding space in their office for two bikes and letting us use their computer to download photos. The lobby was full of leaflets for the area.
We didn't have breakfast, preferring to go to 'Paul' at the nearby station as a bit of a treat.
Overall...this is a decent, simple, cheap hotel. It has entertaining carpet on the walls and doors, which made us laugh, but is clean, well located and good value and that was enough for us. If you're on a budget, this is great.
