Reasonably good Business hotel , not so suitable for holidays

I was very favorably impressed with this hotel, which I selected for an overnight stopover between train journeys. The room was a comfortable size and was pleasantly furnished, and the hotel is a short walk from the train station. Most important, the staff was friendly and remarkably helpful. When I arrived, they could not find my reservation. We eventually determined that I had somehow reserved for the previous night (due probably to the website reverting to a default date after I made another change). They had charged me for the room the previous night as a no-show. Without hesitation, the desk clerk said he would not charge for the night that I actually arrived, so that there was no cost to arriving a day late. This is an exceptional example of putting good will over trying to get a few extra euros from a customer--an example that more hotels should follow.

As we've just returned from our city break in Montpellier, we can say that it was worth to stay at the Sofitel Montpellier Antigone.
This 4* star hotel is for Business and Leisure trip, as you can have all the amenities you need.

Near the city center (5-10 min away to the famous Place de la Comedie), it has a big car park (Antigone) with good prices. Hotel itself looks nothing special from outside but very cosy from inside.
We've booked a "Privilege" room per telephon and got a nice price (155 euros/night) for this category. We were on the 7th floor which is non-smoking. Beds are really great and soft by Sofitel. Plasma TV, Wi-Fi, nice bathroom.
The only thing is the noise from the air-conditioning system on the ceiling floor. Close the door in the room at night and you don't listen it anymore.

Hotel has also a nice swimming pool on the top of the hotel, a jacuzzi, sauna and fitness room. Restaurant is good at night as well as breakfast buffet ( a little pricey).

All in all, just go there if you want to be in a good 4* hotel in Montpellier. Try the restaurant "l'Entrecote" which is famous for its meat and sauce and fries in the center.

We transferred to this hotel after finding the Suitehotel lacking in amenities and comfort. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel itself is lovely. The breakfast was overpriced and not very good, but the restaurant was very nice with a great view. Room service was delicious and prompt. The wireless service is sketchy and may not be available in all rooms. Beds were very comfortable.
