Accor is relaunching the Pullman brand and some Sofitel hotels are renamed, as with this one in Montpellier.
The hotel is very well maintained.
Excellent noise insulation (there are double double-glazed windows): nothing can be heard from outside. In other hotels after a few years the windows do not insulate completely from outside noise, but in this case there is a second double-glazed windows that assures complete sound-proof insulation.
Only real downside: no bidet (in France !) and wc separate from bathroom.
No international channels on TV.
Handy public garage directly connected with hotel.
Limited room service menu.
The hotel decor is excellent.
I slept very well.
It's not a capital level hotel, but it is in Montpellier !
I think it deserves the excellent rating in spite of the minor shortcomings of bidet and tv.
It is just at the side of a shopping center (which shares the parking). If you ask, there are a few hotel reserved parking places under a partially closed door blind.
From the shopping center you access directly the central square "comedie". You can also access it with a short walk on the other side of the Hotel.
In front you find the Antigone neighborhood with all of its modern architecture.
So I think that also the position of the Hotel is excellent, just between the modern and historic parts of the city that you will probably want to visit.
