“An oasis in the city”

Chateau La Tour Apollinaire

5 of 5 stars
Manchester, UK

We have just returned from South of France and spent 6 nights in the Bacardi room. The Chateau is an oasis in a bustling city, we just loved it. A nice 5 min stroll into the centre and the gardens and scerenity are just amazing. Everywhere is really safe and secure, great parking if you have a car and the facilities in the rooms are first class. A bakery just around the corner and a supermarket within a 3 min stroll. If you want to get away and relax by the pool or use this as your base to explore than you cannot go wrong here. We will certainly go back again. Say hi to Simba tha cat from me.

“Great alternative to the bland”

Chateau La Tour Apollinaire

Enjoyed our stay very much; particularly helpful and friendly staff. Very well fitted out but retains the character of the chateau and is a welcome alternative to the blandness of so many hotels.

Was a little concerned at other reviews suggesting the location might feel threatening but didn't find it so.

We'd happily stay there again.

“A gem of a find”

Chateau La Tour Apollinaire

5 of 5 stars
edinburgh

What a delightful property hidden away in tranquil surroundings. Just to simply relax by the beautiful pool was so peaceful. I have noted some other comments in reviews and would like to say that the situation of the property is not in an area where would would be concerned. Our children and ourselves walked into Perpignan on several nights which only takes 10mins and we were not worried about the neighbourhood. The staff were extremly helpful and the accommodation standards wonderful. We would highly recommend this place and would love to return.

“Second time round and still good”

Chateau La Tour Apollinaire

Aug 4, 2008

This was a return visit to La Tour Apollinaire.
Whereas last time, we stayed in the tower apartment, this time it was in the "Bourgogne" apartment which consists of a huge and beautifully antique-furnished sitting room and modern kitchen (both shared with one other apartment) and a large bedroom with four-poster and spacious bathroom.
The old saying states that you should never go back ... but this return visit was just as stress-free and luxurious as our previous one and, frankly, I'd go again and again.
This time, the weather was such that we could make use of the pool and we spent one lovely quiet day just relaxing in the large private gardens.
Anyway, to keep this report as brief as possible, nothing has changed, La Tour Apollinaire is still as good as it was last time.

“Beautiful and relaxing getaway!”

Chateau La Tour Apollinaire

Aug 3, 2008

We stayed at the Chateau for a week in July, recovering from a music festival in Spain, and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

We cannot fault the accommodation as well as the surrounding gardens and helpful staff. The apartment we stayed in was extremely well designed and had all modern fittings. We especially loved the rain shower in our bathroom!
Our room was beautifully decorated, with many small and unique touches throughout. We also appreciated the must needed luxury of a great air conditioner.

We did spend most of our time relaxing by the beautiful pool and enjoying the well kept gardens, even having the pool to ourselves on a few occasions.

The town centre is a short walk from the Chateau, but no more than 10 minutes (in heels as well!). There is a vast choice of restaurants covering all different food genres, as well as prices.

All in all we had a truly relaxing stay, and will most definitely be returning. A definite must stay for the South of France.
