What a bonus to be able to drive into the town because you are staying at the Beau Site. Hotel was excellent. Had a beautiful view of the valley. Bathroom modern, but hair dryer was partly broken. Had expected a coffee maker, but there wasn't one. Very clean, quiet room and service was very good/friendly. Very touristy town and I agree with the last review that you really only need 1 night. I decided to visit the towns north east of Rocamadour on one of my days.

We stayed at the Beau Site Notre Dame hotel in Rocamadour for two nights in early July. The facility is adequate. I would request a room in the newer building across the street. They have an excellent restaurant. The staff was helpful, but a bit slow. We had trouble with electricity and airconditioning going out due to a severe storm. Rocamadour is a unique place. One night would be sufficient to cover the town and its site.

Located right in the center of Rocamadour, this hotel is one that will remain in our memory forever. My wife and I spent three nights here and everything was excellent.The hotel rooms are located in two buildings, the original building with the lobby and a second one directly across the street. Both buildings are very old, but most of the rooms in the second building were totally remodeled in 2004. Our room was in this building and everything was totally new in every way.

Our room with two single beds was very large, very nicely decorated, and very nicely furnished. Both of our beds were very comfortable. Our bath area also was large with modern fixtures. All of the staff were very pleasant and very helpful with local information, driving directions, restaurant reservations, etc. Parking is free. Breakfast is available in the hotel dining room, but is not included in the room rate.

The hotel has two dining areas, one inside and the other outside in a lovely courtyard under a blanket of trees and overlooking the valley. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was excellent. Be sure to make reservations early in the day, especially during busy times and on weekends, as the restaurant fills up very quickly.

The Best Western web site is very accurate in its description of the hotel, except that we did not have a "coffee/tea maker" in our room.

We highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant and very definitely would stay here again.

Once we squeeked through the tiny archway and eased our way down the cobblestone street the the Beau Site, we had a wonderful time in Rocamadour. The original building goes back to the 15th century. Our room was across the street in the "new building". Our room had a fantastic view of the valley and the village. Beds were comfortable, we had a full tub & enough space to unpack and spread out. Staff was very accomodating and helpful. Restaurant was fabulous! Would go back without hesitation!
