Once we squeeked through the tiny archway and eased our way down the cobblestone street the the Beau Site, we had a wonderful time in Rocamadour. The original building goes back to the 15th century. Our room was across the street in the "new building". Our room had a fantastic view of the valley and the village. Beds were comfortable, we had a full tub & enough space to unpack and spread out. Staff was very accomodating and helpful. Restaurant was fabulous! Would go back without hesitation!

This was a very excellent hotel for the following reasons:

* Location . if you go to Rocamadour you must stay inside the medieval town - it turns from a place with throngs of tourists by day, to a magical, romantic, mysterious medieval town, the best France has to offer, by night

* Rooms - the rooms were good enough - brand new clearly, with a huge bathroom including jacuzzi (we stayed at one of the family rooms), and a plasma TV.

* Restaurant - The restaurant was very good, - book a place overlooking the valley

* Service was good - vallet parking, useful tips for going out in the area

All in all, a lovely hotel in a wonderful town
