Located right in the center of Rocamadour, this hotel is one that will remain in our memory forever. My wife and I spent three nights here and everything was excellent. The hotel rooms are located in two buildings, the original building with the lobby and a second one directly across the street. Both buildings are very old, but most of the rooms in the second building were totally remodeled in 2004. Our room was in this building and everything was totally new in every way.
Our room with two single beds was very large, very nicely decorated, and very nicely furnished. Both of our beds were very comfortable. Our bath area also was large with modern fixtures. All of the staff were very pleasant and very helpful with local information, driving directions, restaurant reservations, etc. Parking is free. Breakfast is available in the hotel dining room, but is not included in the room rate.
The hotel has two dining areas, one inside and the other outside in a lovely courtyard under a blanket of trees and overlooking the valley. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was excellent. Be sure to make reservations early in the day, especially during busy times and on weekends, as the restaurant fills up very quickly.
The Best Western web site is very accurate in its description of the hotel, except that we did not have a "coffee/tea maker" in our room.
We highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant and very definitely would stay here again.
