Disappointing. Had previously stayed in the Mercure Wilson: streets ahead of here and cheaper!

Overpriced, unhelpful staff, breakfast NOT included in room rate, noisy.You can do better. Anywhere.

When I read the review from A Trip Advisor User, I couldn't believe this was the same hotel at which I stayed in May 2002. I made the reservation online (different site), arrived from the train station and got a suite overlooking the river. The bedroom was a separate room raised about 4 feet above the entry. The bathroom faced the entry. Separate was a large living room with ceiling to floor french doors that opened onto the rooftop of the sidewalk covering in front of the restaurant downstairs. Loved the place. Don't know what the other reviewer meant about how expensive breakfast was, as it was included in the room price. Hmmmm.

We had booked, on expedia, a superior room with a river view. On arrival, the concierge said 'the hotel has two parts. You are in the better part over the road'. We were suspicious but went to have a look. We were then led down a back street, to another hotel. Here we were asked to sign disclaimer forms for the mobile phones we were handed 'as the hotel has no phone system'! We didn't sign, and went to look at the room. It was tiny, even for France, and had a view of the courtyard, the river being behind another block of buildings. We obviously rejected this. A prolonged phone conversation between the two hotels ensued and we were sent back, with luggage again in tow. At no stage was any apology or explnation offered, but there was lots of shoulder-shrugging.Breakfast was ten times the price you could get it in the cafes a few yards away.Not worth the money. Stay elsewhere.
