The Crowne Plaza has a fantastic location right in the heart of Toulouse on Place Capitole and for that reason alone it is worth staying here. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The interior is standard 4 star business hotel and so lacks character or charm but provides all the facilities a visitor to the lovely city of Toulouse is likely to need. The decor is slightly dated but in no way shabby. An internal courtyard has been converted to provide a pleasant and shady terrace for breakfast, which is very copious indeed with lots of choice to suit all tastes.

The "official" prices are incredibly high and our room was in no way worth the 250euros or more posted on the back of the door. However there are very reasonable weekend and summer rates which include breakfast available on the Crowne Plaza website, so a stay here can cost only slightly more than in a 2 star round the corner. A child up to 16 can stay free in their parents room, which is a real bonus if traveling with a teenager as we were.

This hotel is located at the very heart of the city, which makes it very convenient. The service was very good and the only problem our room had was that it was a bit dark, but otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for one week on business. My room was at the "end of the hall" looking over the small restaurant courtyard below. I left the window open at night as it was cool outside, but sometimes noise would require me to close the window (which solved the problem).

In comparison to most hotels in the U.S., it is nothing exceptional. The service at the desk was efficient. Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. English language TV channels are sparse, but it is France, after all.

The breakfast spread was excellent. Plenty of choices and options, and great French bread! I looked forward to the breakfast every day.

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is right on the main plaza of Toulouse with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

My husband and I chose the Crowne plaza as a central base to visit our daughter nearby. we expected for the outlandish price - £500 fo two nights without breakfast, it to be special. Alas, the room was dark, dingy and although not small, the amount of furniture and bulky TV did not enhance the space.
the bathroom was covered in 'busy marble and dark wood. It all looked very dated and rather 1970's shabby and irritating. it would be so much better to be painted in light colours, get rid of those awful heavy tapestry curtains and replace with light airy blinds and a flat screen TV. have some wonderful traditional art work on the walls if you like but it was so dated we really could only spent time there asleep and couldn't wait to get out!
The staff were very nice and the beds were comfortable, but I cannot think of anything positive to say about it.
Even the 'complimentary croissant and coffee apparantly available to us on the top floor was NOT available as the room had been hired by a TV crew and we were ushered out without any information about this 'perk' being cancelled.
Altogether, they are having a laugh! Stay somewhere else!
