I really enjoy this as a tourist and business hotel, it's brilliantly located on the central Place Wilson for restraunts and atmosphere. The building is quite interesting, with a huge glass roofed reception/bar area. The rooms are generally good, not expectional but a good 3/4 star standard, generally overlooking that glass roof. As far as I know there's no Gym, pool, etc. The breakfast room's nothing special but the associated resteraunts are superb.

Parking is in a safe public car park across the road. The heating wasn't very controllable on my last stay and I ended up opening the window in the middle of winter.

Generally this has all the benefits of the other Holiday inn - the Crowne Plaza on the nearby Place Capitole - location, amenities, etc but at a much lower price.

My partner was staying her for work and I joined him for a couple of extra nights. The hotel has the feel of a business hotel. The room was adequate; the view was over the glazed roof of the central courtyard. The location is great.

Rooms are ok, nothing to shout about but recently had a problem, after staying for 4 nights at the hotel and checking out on 8 March, I notice an additional charge on my credit card. Sending them faxes has not garnered a reply so I called. They insist that there was a second reservation made ONLINE on the 8 of March (on the date of my checkout ) and it was for 4 nights and the additional night was a NO SHOW CHARGE. I was pretty sure i did not made such reservations so I challenge them to produce the slips for two duplicate reservations but they cannot insisting that it is impossible for them to make a reservation on my behalf and they have a confirmation number. I called Holiday Inn Guest relations and they verify that the confirmation number was made by a hotel agent and not online. They faxed me the proof and I confronted them with this proof and the staff are still in denial. It is really frustrating. It is still unresolved.

We were very apprehensive after reading some bad reviews on here and on other sites but there was no need------we liked this hotel.
The reception area was particularly inviting and the restaurant was well-run with a very good and varied menu.
The situation was 1st class, right in the middle of things.
We are going back next month.
