Hotel D'Orsay is located directly opposite the main railway station so is very handy if you dont know the area. Although there are a few restaurants etc around the hotel it is about 5 or 10 minutes walk into the main part of Toulouse and there are hotels that are more convenient for the attractions. Reception staff were helpful and very pleasant. The room was on the small side but clean. Stopped two nights in a double room costing 112 euros, 56 per night. It seemed that this was the standard cost rising as the season kicks in. There are no real facilities in the place, ie a bar or lounge but that wasnt an issue for us; but might be for others. Breakfast is an additional 7 euros per person and we had it one day. It was hardly worth it; no help yourself, just one roll and one croissant on a tray with jams etc but no cheese or meats. Located in the same block as the hotel is a sex shop..see photo and there were a few others at the road on the side of the hotel into town. If this offends you then there are several other roads into Toulouse that dont have these establishments. Overall this is a basic hotel not more than 2 star. Beware of the pricing arrangements; the prices vary according to room; one says overlooking garden and the other is overlooking canal. We opted for the later but the hotel was across a busy road...see photo
