We stayed at Les Pesques only for one night, but the impression it made on our minds and hearts will last a long time indeed...
Everything from the location, in a small village just outside of Toulouse, to the house itself, which I can not describe as anything other than a fortress of warmth and hospitality; to of course the lady of the house - Bridgitte, who's unparalleled taste and imagination has crafted each niche and wall of the house into a work of art!!!
The room we stayed in was the blue and white themed one, which immediately transported me to my childhood days - where I could devour comics while lying on a perfectly made bed of clean starched sheets and the soft smell of lavender in the air....wafting in through the garden....
Then the thrill of exploring the surrounding garden and fields, getting acquainted with the resident animals - who make a fine repertoire of horses, sheep, poultry, cats and dogs!
The breakfast itself was simple and elegant - everything made from local produce.
In summary, if you love nature and being away from the madness and dull predictability of cities and towns; if you enjoy down to earth hospitality in a stunning artistic environment, this place is well worth including in your itinerary...
We are already planning on going back for some more :)
