Stayed here for 2 nights while taking in the sights of Rouen and touring the Normandy coast. Excellent value. We had the middle front room on the 2nd floor overlooking the cathedral square. Beautiful view of the cathedral. Room was small as expected but clean. Breakfast was decent. Free internet WiFi was available. Easy walk to all the sights of historic Rouen. Brasserie Paul restaurant next door offered very good dinners and was reasonable. Forget trying to figure out how to find hotel by car. There are so many one way streets and bus only restricted streets it's impossible. The parking garage is easier to find and it's just a short walk to the hotel.

The location couldn't be better for the centre of Rouen. All the sights were an easy walk.

The room was pretty small and I can't imagine staying for more than a couple of nights. You couldn't really unpack in the room we had, but we were there for just one night.

A bit of noise in the morning from garbage carts and the Cathedral bells, but that is nitpicking.

Parking is around the corner and costs extra, but again, for a short stay it is bearable.

This hotel is a total gem. Located in the absolute heart of Rouen, our room looked directly onto the famous Notre Dame Cathedral and surrounding square. The room was clean and neat. The bathroom was nice with a great shower. Breakfast was tasty and relatively inexpensive. The only down side was that we had to park about a block away in an undercover car park and drag our luggage to the hotel, but this was a small inconvenience given the location.

We spent one night at the Hotel Cardinale in Rouen on our way to Bayeux. It was about a 15 minute walk from the train station - downhill - and located on the cathedral square. Our room (#10) was a larger than average corner room with a nice view of the Cathedral. The room was bright, cheery, and very clean. The staff was very accommodating.
If you had a car, parking could be an issue. We picked up a rental car in the morning and were able to find a temporary parking place very close so we could load our luggage. Rouen also has a very simple Metro that could be used to return to the train station.
Also be aware that Rouen virtully closes down about 7 p.m. - at least in October. We found the streets pretty quiet in the evenings and you had to look a bit to find a restaurant for dinner.
