Stayed here a couple of years ago - and vowed to return. We had a gorgeous room up in the eaves overlooking the narrow street at the front. Very contemporary and smart.
Big bonus was the cool underground carpark - but the car was not needed - 3 nights is not enough to get bored with La Rochelle!
Only problem was having to leave the windows open at night - and the narrow street below appeared to be used as a racetrack by boyracers on mopeds - so would recommend not having a room at the front.
But a small price to pay for staying in a gorgeous hotel in a fantastic location - in the heart of the old town, minutes walk from all the sights.
