This hotel was a delight to stay in, tucked away in the maze of back streets in the Roman town of Arles. It is difficult to find, but worth the search. We stayed in a junior suite - room 7 - which had a beautiful outside terrace. We didn't eat at the hotel, but the dinner menu sounded wonderful, and if we go back I would book in.
There is a small but stunning pool with sun loungers, and an outside terrace for breakfast.
A minor gripe was that there was a problem with our key and we couldn't lock our room. Previous reviews have mentioned some problems with the staff's attentiveness, but we found everyone very friendly and eager to help.
The hotel is expensive, but a lovely, quirky atmospheric place with an almost Moroccan feel to it and I would recommend it - especially if you are on honeymoon or a romantic break.
