I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and have found each time that it is just as great as the 1st....and is a surprising gem. The price was good although I believe my agent got a great deal, she seems to do that all of the time. While tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Avignon, everything one needs is within a 5 minute walk. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The morning breakfast selections were excellent and far surperior to most hotels of this quality. I would stay here again and again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My goal for this trip was a room that was quiet and comfortable with everything in working condition. My goal was met. The staff was extremely helpful and I would stay there again.

This hotel has a great location very close to Palais des Papes, Place de l Horologe and Pont St Benezet. It is not new but well maintained, very clean and quite. I had very nice room with view to the garden and city wall. Relatively large bathroom, well working AC. Very good breakfast incl. cheese, ham, salami, sausages, eggs, fresh fruit, joghurt, ... What can you want more for 71 euro incl. breakfast ? One of the best 3 star hotels I have ever stayed (and I spend at various 3 star - 4 star hotels at least 60 nights per year).

My husband and I actually stayed at this hotel when we couldn't find the B&B we had booked online before leaving home. We arrived in Avignon late at night and it was pouring down rain. Luckily, we spotted the Mercure as it was perfectly located and had a parking garage on the lower level. The hotel wasn't fancy at all, but we were only there to sleep so it got the job done. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
