This charming small hotel is run by a most delightful and helpful English-speaking French couple, Julie and Nicolas Malzac-Heimermann. Located in the steep but idyllic setting of Seillans, one of the 100 Most Beautiful Villages of Provence, this hotel exudes warmth and French character. The tiny restaurant boasts a level of quality in both service and cuisine that is sure to please--their chef brings magic to the table, and the staff is most professional in every aspect. Care has been taken to preserve the original aspects of this old stone building, but at the same time the owners have provided gleaming, modern and spotless bathrooms and comfortable furnishings. Rooms vary from tiny to very spacious---my room had three beds, lovely fabric-covered walls, and cozy but unpretentious antique furniture. Superb location at the top of this delightful miniature town. What a gem!

We stayed in a room for about $50 (walk in price) and it was a classic French experience; room in stone house was fine, bathroom very clean, and then there was dinner. Magical. On the lawn, water pitchers were filled from the fountain; terrific food, great expanse - view of the countryside. Small town in the "middle of nowhere" that became an adventure to locate. Summer evening with wine and great food at sunset. Small quiet town we might have missed except we had an old magazine article describing the charm and ambiance of the Deux Rocs,

Stayed June '06. Great place for some true P and Q. The associated restaurant is beautifully located around the village fountain. We meant to eat in a different place each night but found the food and location so nice that we ate here for three of our five nights. Rooms are 'rustic', we had air conditioning gaps in the old window frames but they were comfortable and the location is good for some great Provencal days out. For some reason the hotel's own website has not been updated for 2007.
