It is a great pleasure to again review this lovely hotel for which I have nothing but praise. I guess it just depends what room you are given but fortunately I was lucky the same time last year when I enjoyed a week's holiday here and again for the same period this year into early June. I was allotted an even more beautiful and attractive quiet room with balcony facing the garden at the rear of the building and a little gift of bath salts and welcoming note in my room on arrival which I thought a nice touch since I had returned for a second trip. Again, the weather was lovely and again I enjoyed the beachside Gray d'Albion's restaurant. Instead of the breakfast at the hotel, I opted for lunches by the sand and can thoroughly recommend lunch cuisine by the sea at the Hotel Martinez and Carlton beach restaurants. Just stunning. Also enjoyed once again my little favourite Le Soleil down the far end of the beach strip. Took the train to the sweet little village of Biot which was very enjoyable and another day took the train again and had a great lunch at the Meridien Hotel facing the blue sea and sand at Juan Les Pins. A very peaceful holiday on my own enjoying the joys of Cannes and returning to the lovely Gray d'Albion. As usual the staff were friendly and professional and as usual I look forward to a swift return.

“Great Cannes Hotel”

My wife and I regularly stay in the Riviera and are often quite shocked at what the French pass off as allegedly 4 star hotels. Thus, I found the Gray D'Albion to be a revelation. It is a super hotel. First of all, the location is perfect. It is literally 10 seconds from the main designer shopping street, Rue D'Antibes - and is only around 100m from La Croisette and the beaches. There is also a Monoprix about 5 minutes walk away for those who wish to fill up the mini-bar with their own purchases. From the front the hotel is a nice modern building - 9 stories high and most rooms have balconies. We booked a deluxe room on the seventh floor with a balcony. It was very spacious with nice modern and clean decor. The bathroom was large with a great shower and nice toiletries provided. We also had a lovely view of Le Suquet from our balcony - complete with awning.
The public spaces in the hotel are nice, with a beautiful grand lobby and cosy bar. The hotel also has a private beach with waiter service. This is pricey (you have to pay for loungers, parasol, towels etc) but is well worth the luxury when in Cannes.
For those driving, there is a secure public car park underneath the hotel. I used it for one night - but at approx 20 odd euros per night it is pricey.
We did not take breakfast in the hotel. Instead I would reccomend using the boulangerie which is directly across from the hotel. Grab yourself a couple of croissants and sit out on your balcony - much better than the pricey 21 euros a head breakfast in the hotel.
Another nice touch in the hotel is the secure lift - you can only activate lifts with your room keycard.
All in all, this is a super hotel in Cannes. There are also lots of fabulous dining options around the back streets of the hotel.

“Great hotel...Great Location”

Hotel Gray d'Albion

Very nice hotel in a superb location approx 100m from seafront and public beach. Also right in the middle of town so 5-10 minutes walk from shops, port, bars, restaurants etc.
Classy area with all the big designer shops virtually on the doorstep such as Chanel and Christian Lacroix if you like that sort of thing.
We booked room only which worked out to be a good decision as breakfast was 21 euros per person....however we found a lovely little patisserie opposite the hotel where we bought a pastry every morning and then sat on the seafront with a cup of tea for breakfast - much nicer!
The hotel bar is lovely and air conditioned and serves a great 'picky' tray of nuts and olives with drinks in the early evenings and no extra charge....a nice bonus.
We were given a free upgrade to room with a balcony which suggests they will do this if they are not full. Worth asking? Cleaner comes into room twice per day - once to clean and again to turn back the sheets and leave a chocolate on the pillow!
The direct bus from the airport (bus 200?) takes 30 mins and cost 23 euro each return....stops outside the hotel which is very handy.
Would definitely stay here again.

I was there for the Cannes advertising Festival. And as a person working in advertising you can imagion ive travelled along quit a lot. But this was probably the worst place and the worst staff i ever run into. Please take my advise and don't go there. Everyting is wrong overthere, i can't even start to discribe it becaues it would take me hours.

This will sum it up: When i asked for a complaintform they said they were out of stock!

This is the longer version: If you write a review you are not allowed to write threats or personal insults. And that is a pitty because that is excactly how i feel after staying at the gray d'Albion in Cannes. It was very, very bad. it was a ruine. everything was broken or dirty. And than i was not even in my room. In my room It was raining because of a leaking air conditioner. There was fungus on the walls. it was smelling like a forgotten mop. Anyway, ive been asking for a better room day after day and all they told me was "zsorry zsir, we cant dsoe nothzing fur you szir"
I've been exploding with angry for more than 8 nights it was hell and when i checked out i heart do could not give me any discount.
we are talking about 425 euro rooms here. i have to stop writing nnow because i can't keep myself from insulting anymore now.
