“Ultimate relaxation”

La Rivolte

We stayed at La Rivolte as we were visiting the grand prix in Monaco. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that good but we still had a wonderful relaxing four days. The welcome we received from Cathy upon arrival was very warming. The lounges you can use and even the possibility to watch your favourite programmes on Sky well away make this hotel have a very homely feel.

We stayed in the Jasmin room and it was lovely. The bathroom was massive and the view from the juliette balconies were stunning.

During our stay we visited Cannes, Monaco and Grasse. Cannes was about 30 mins drive, Monaco 40 mins and Grasse centre is walking distance. Nice is also about 40 mins away and St Tropez about 90 mins. This hotel is therefore very central, but I think you would be lost without a car.

The hotel itself wasn't easy to find. There are no signs for it and we stumbled upon the entrance by chance. I think this is because it is let out in the summer and therefore the sign posting isn't there like for many other hotels.

In summary we loved everything about our stay, the room, breakfast, hospitality, the cats, gardens, views and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this region of France.

“Quintessentially Riviera...”

La Rivolte

I was looking for something typical of the region in every way. La Rivolte has an authentic, comfortably furnished atmosphere and decor. The 18th century building is beautifully preserved, each bedroom is dfferent in colour and fabric but still decorated in the typical provencal way.

John and Cathy are very friendly and helpful. The welcome is very warm, this B&B has a very homely feel to it, complete with two cats .....

La Rivolte is perfectly situated up in the hills of Grasse with a breathtaking view down into the valley and the old town. You are walking distance from anything in Grasse.

The gardens and pool are incredible and you'd be forgiven for thinking you'd landed on a period piece film set ...... A small example of the Cote d'Azur at its best.

“Great atmosphere in the hills overlooking Grasse”

La Rivolte

Jan 14, 2008

I was travelling to the Côte d'Azur for a wedding and stayed at La Rivolte for a long week-end. The villa, located on one of the hills overlooking Grasse, is very beautiful and has preserved its homely feel. It is in walking distance from the center of the city but is very secluded and you feel miles from the city. My room was spacious with a beautiful view of the pool and, in the distance, of the sea. The breakfast was copious and I enjoyed talking with other people on the sunny terrace. Cathy, the manager, was very heplful in providing information on the activities and the good spots in the area. If you are looking for a good place to stay while in Grasse or in Nice, La Rivolte is a very good choice. I know I'll come back.

We have stayed several times at La Rivolte and have never been disappointed. We just adore this place. The setting of La Rivolte is stunning and the views to the coast are magnificent. There is so much to see and do at LaRivolte that you couldn't be bored. The gardens are something to see.

The hosts, Cathy and Jon are so friendly and will give you any advice you need. Nothing is too much trouble. This is the perfect place for a relaxing and stress free holiday. Just writing about the place wants me, to book a flight now and go out there.

We have visted in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn and each visit was fantastic. To spend one day in the sunshine out on the terrace and the next day up in the mountains sledging is something else.

You cannot fail to love this place and once you have been, you will want to go back again and again.

“A perfect Vacation setting”

Really they do not come much better than this. We stayed here for several days in spring 2005 and had a wonderful time. As innkeepers on a rare break we decided to treat ourselves and booked the best room open for our stay. Quiet Comfortable and relaxed great breakfast and the finest company all around. too cool for the pool but great night to use the onsite telescope to do some star gazing. As I said this one is one of the best. But be prepared to do some hiking if you like to walk the whole town is on a steep hill.
