My wife and I were searching for somewhere to stay near Antibes and this place had a good rating on Trip Advisor so we decided to try it. We weren't dissapointed. The hotel and its garden are beautiful, the people were friendly and the room was fantastic. We had one of the better rooms with our own terrace. I can't comment on the other rooms (only four or five have such a substantial terrace) but ours was high ceilinged and spacious. We had breakfast on our own terrace each morning. Their pool was good and they didn't try and charge us for renting loungers or anything that seems quite commen in the seaside hotels. They don't have a restaurant and breakfast is basic but we found it ample. We ate out in local restaurants for dinner and spent most of our days on the beach (five minutes away). The hotel is up on a hill so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who would struggle to walk at an incline but I do recommend it for everyone else.

This was our 5th stay at Mimosas in six years. As ever it was a delightful, relaxing stay. Mme Sauret and her team ensure everything is focused on the satisfaction of the customer. Just an inkling of any horseplay or anything to jeopardise the peace of the pool area and one of them sails out of the office to nip disturbances in the bud. A 5-star stay at a great 3-star property.

This is a good-looking old hotel in its own grounds with a VERY nice pool to laze by.
Bedrooms were good sized and very clean - but if you like luxurious bathrooms you won't spend much time in these - they are sufficient for purpose, and certainly clean.
Staff were nice, the lady is certainly straight-talking - when I said we had some difficulty finding the place, she disagreed! I liked her though.
Location, as mentioned below, is good, about 5 mins from the promenade at Juan-les-Pins, a slight push uphill.
Would I recommend this to my parents (in their seventies) - no. But to anyone who doesn't require the latest mod-cons and likes a bargain, I certainly would.

“Miami Vice Styled Holiday”

This is a great hotel with a good location. Dated 70's decor makes for some excellent Miami Vice Jokes but the look seems to work among Juan les Pins other architectural period pieces. We embraced the pool, the sun and the beach and loved every minute. The room was spacious and clean and the pool is excellent. There is no elevator so don't come if you can't get up the stairs.

“Great little hotel”

Hotel des Mimosas

Stayed here with family and friends for one week during August. Booked directly with the hotel, who have good English speaking staff and are very helpful, so no problems. Taxi organised for 6 of us from Nice airport (66 Euros one way), took about 30 mins.

We stayed in 2 family rooms- 330 and 326, which were generally OK but a bit tired. Bathrooms were poor both in terms of size, water pressure and general decor and appointments. Rooms are typically French and fairly basic but clean. The rooms were on the second (top) floor and there is no lift, but this was not a problem for us. Best rooms are on first floor with large balconies facing the pool, and are very sunny.

While the rooms were adequate but needed some investment, the outside more than made up for any shortcomings. The terrace and pool are excellent, with plenty of sunbeds. Yes towels are provided and yes you do have to keep your towel and dry it every day but this was not a problem as there is a washing line behind the hotel, and the weather was very good. There is a table tennis table and petanque area, and the kids were more than happy as they did not want to leave the poolside. Only drawback for some with families may be the rules around the pool which do not allow jumping in or too much noise, but this is manageable and keeps the area relaxing.

Breakfast at 10 Euros was good value eaten on the terrace or in the room. Also guests are allowed to buy their own food and wine (from the excellent Spar nearby)and eat lunch on the terrace, as hotel is B&B only. Hotel provided a corksrew- no problem, and there is a fridge in the room to store food and wine. This was a great plus.

In terms of location the hotel was a 10 minute walk to the beach, and a very easy to walk to the station. Antibes was a 20 minute walk.

The Hotel Alexander next door was great for food with a changing fixed 24 Euros 3 course menu each night. You eat outside and the atmosphere is great - we ate there 3 out of 7 nights.

The lady owner is very direct, and always around, but I think that is a good thing- nothing was any trouble and she was very courteous and helpful at all times.

I would highly recommend this hotel, as overall it provides a great package and good value for money at 145 Euros for a family room in the high season.
