This is a great hotel with a good location. Dated 70's decor makes for some excellent Miami Vice Jokes but the look seems to work among Juan les Pins other architectural period pieces. We embraced the pool, the sun and the beach and loved every minute. The room was spacious and clean and the pool is excellent. There is no elevator so don't come if you can't get up the stairs.

Stayed here with family and friends for one week during August. Booked directly with the hotel, who have good English speaking staff and are very helpful, so no problems. Taxi organised for 6 of us from Nice airport (66 Euros one way), took about 30 mins.

We stayed in 2 family rooms- 330 and 326, which were generally OK but a bit tired. Bathrooms were poor both in terms of size, water pressure and general decor and appointments. Rooms are typically French and fairly basic but clean. The rooms were on the second (top) floor and there is no lift, but this was not a problem for us. Best rooms are on first floor with large balconies facing the pool, and are very sunny.

While the rooms were adequate but needed some investment, the outside more than made up for any shortcomings. The terrace and pool are excellent, with plenty of sunbeds. Yes towels are provided and yes you do have to keep your towel and dry it every day but this was not a problem as there is a washing line behind the hotel, and the weather was very good. There is a table tennis table and petanque area, and the kids were more than happy as they did not want to leave the poolside. Only drawback for some with families may be the rules around the pool which do not allow jumping in or too much noise, but this is manageable and keeps the area relaxing.

Breakfast at 10 Euros was good value eaten on the terrace or in the room. Also guests are allowed to buy their own food and wine (from the excellent Spar nearby)and eat lunch on the terrace, as hotel is B&B only. Hotel provided a corksrew- no problem, and there is a fridge in the room to store food and wine. This was a great plus.

In terms of location the hotel was a 10 minute walk to the beach, and a very easy to walk to the station. Antibes was a 20 minute walk.

The Hotel Alexander next door was great for food with a changing fixed 24 Euros 3 course menu each night. You eat outside and the atmosphere is great - we ate there 3 out of 7 nights.

The lady owner is very direct, and always around, but I think that is a good thing- nothing was any trouble and she was very courteous and helpful at all times.

I would highly recommend this hotel, as overall it provides a great package and good value for money at 145 Euros for a family room in the high season.

Staff at Les Mimosas made our booking very easy. We wanted a room with a terrace but there wasn't one available for the entire duration of our stay, so we were given a different room for the first night and moved the following morning into our requested room. This was all arranged by email which also included collection by taxi from Nice Airport.

The hotel is in a great location within Juan Les Pins, in a quiet part of town but only a 5 minute walk to the sea front and Town Centre. The grounds of the hotel are very pleasant and extrememly well kept. There is a also Spar supermarket just around the corner which sells pretty much anything you might need. We bought things like candles, plates and cutlery to use on the terrace, all of which were extremely cheap, along with the food and of course, drink.

For the first 5 days we really didn't venture very far from the hotel. The swimming pool area is a very pleasant , comfortable and relaxing place to spend the day. The pool is great for families with young children too.

There is little doubt we'll go back. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was very clean.and comfortable. Having seen the previous few entries on Trip Advisor we were a bit nervous about what we might face. However, lets face it, anyone who decides to holiday in France and complain that people there speak French really needs to get a grip of themselves. The lady owner of the hotel is very pleasant and if you don't speak French (we speak a bit) she and the other staff will speak to you in English. Please don't expect to arrive at a 5-star hotel as you'll be disappointed, this is a 3-star hotel with decor that we found both charming and amusing in a 80's kind of way.

We would recommend this hotel, most definitely. Everyone we spoke to during the week we stayed at Les Mimosas enjoyed their stay also praised the people and facilities.

antibes-juan les pins is a cute combo of old port town france and busy beach town w/ super lux cap d'antibes sandwiched between. the tripadv buzz on
mimosas was good when i booked even though the process was not smmoth owing to their booking rules: you request a date-- you get back a confirmation of a room and your card is charged ( this may be ok unless you are not offerred the type of room requested)

THE GOOD: great pool- as a pool owner i appreciate a good one, even an ankle deep area where you can sit in the water.
good a/c-mini split that cranks out cold air
Free parking-pay a daily car park fee and you will appreciate this
the staff- i know the LOL who runs the place can get grumpy and refuses to speak english or admit she understand it but she and her staff were accommodating and helpful.
location - a liitle walk from town but area is pretty and QUIET
not expensive
THE BAD: no lift,no porter, dated rooms, only fair bed and french minimal breakfast, the pool towels are ISSUED and one must hang them on tthe clothesline in back to be reused next time...'kay?
THE UGLY- the bathroom needed rehab but appeared clean - however the heavy smell of bugspray was painful (headache)there are gaps in the wall of this dated area but happily saw no creepy crawlers.
