We stayed at the Belles Rives for three nights in the middle of June. There was four of us, my husband and I had a Classic Cap Side Room with no seaview. The room was small but we spent such a limited amount of time in the room it didn't actually matter. Our friends had a Deluxe Sea View Room which they really liked. The balcony was small but they just liked being able to open the doors and look out over the bay.
While it wouldn't put us off going back, I do agree with other reviews about paying for the sun loungers, towels and parasols.... it does seem a little - well... cheap to charge residents. From what we could make out they get loads of non residents coming to spend the day on the beach so why not let them pay rather than guests who have already paid a tidy sum to stay there in the first place?
However, this is probably the worst thing about the hotel, but it is more than made up for by the friendly staff, the great lunch on the edge of the water, and while we very rarely eat dinner in hotel restaurants, their pretty candlelight terrace is absolutely stunning in the evening with the most wonderful view over the Med. Definitely worth giving a go for one evening.
During the day you don't really want to move off you sun bed (especially having paid for it!), but as you look out over the sea, with a glass of lovely cold Rose in your hand, well life can't be all that bad now can it?
