The fam and I got back from Europe a couple of months ago, after having made Le Meridien Garden Beach the first stop on our European vacation. And while this hotel was nice enough, it's really the location that makes it sparkle.
The lobby in this hotel is really light and airy feeling; marble floors, pillars, but lots of large windows so that you can look out onto the Med while you're waiting for the receptionist to find your reservation (a bit of a language barrier...our French is acceptable, but not spectacular!).
The elevator is tiny. Very tiny. As much as you're only in there a few times a day, it's tough if you're claustrophobic...
We had booked 2 rooms for the 4 of us (2 people in each), and asked for singles in our room. While the beds were narrower and shorter than a North American single, the bedding is super soft! Very comfy! If you're not as tall as my brother (6'2") you shouldn't have a problem!
Bathroom was also quite nice, although they don't have shower curtains. Instead, it was this swinging glass half-door...so make sure you're careful when you're getting out because that door is a little awkward and the tub is pretty high!
Our view sucked, sadly. We had one small window, it was really high up, and faced out into a sandy 'courtyard' (which actually had no access point except for one room to our left). Needless to say, it was pretty dark in the room even in the middle of the day.
The room did have a flatscreen TV but ours was broken and we weren't in the room enough to bother getting it fixed.
Didn't use the pool (why go to the pool when you can go to the beach?!) but it looked ok. Didn't use their 'private' beach either because the public beach isn't very far...and I'm not ok with paying for a tiny plot of sand and a lawnchair...
It's a nice hotel but that's about it. It's a soft bed to sleep in when you come back from a day of wandering around town (or you're too sunburned to do much else). Good choice if you're not intending on being in your room a whole lot or if you can get it at a reduced rate. It's all about being able to go to this casual and fun town, not about sleeping!
