I was a little reluctant to write this review because my concern is that if everybody discovers this 'little gem' it might be difficult to get a room in the future!.... but as someone who appreciates being able to read the reviews of other places I felt I should.
I stayed here for 2 wks with my 12yr old daughter in July 2006, having previously had a short stay in 2004. Once again I was not disappointed, the service from all staff was superb and our room was excellent, with a separate dressing area, great bathroom and lovely view of the bay of Cannes. My normally 'shy' 12yr old was even happy to dine alone on a couple of occasions, an indication of how well she was looked after by the staff!
It is a delightful small hotel, all rooms individually decorated and there is the added benefit of being able to use the facilities of the larger and very beautiful 'Mas Candille', such as the pool and Spa, as courtesy transfers can be arranged for the 3min transfer!

The best hotel in the south of France. Great staff,Great food , great service,great location.

Les Muscadins is definitely the best price-value on the Cote d'Azur. We found it difficult to find a superior hotel in this area for under Euro 200. Not only was this place inexpensive by comparison but we couldn't have imagined having a better stay if we had paid twice as much. It is as good as most of the Relais&Chateaux hotels we stayed in.

Rooms and interior are clean, classy and very comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay of Cannes was a daily treat.

It's a great location for touring the Cote d'Azur and a five minute walk to the restaurants in the almost too perfect old Mougins-village.

We have stayed in Les Muscadin's sister property Les Mas Candille previously but it was closed for the month of January and thought we would give Les Muscadins a try. We liked it very much. The staff/owners were extremely accomodating and warm. We had a few special requests which were warmly embraced such as getting some food upon check in at midnight even though there is no room service, asking for hot eggs with the breakfast which they whipped up for us every morning for a small fee even though there is no menu offering such a thing, and finally when we were asking for information about how to get to Grasse, the owner told us that her husband was going in a few hours to pick up their kids and they would be happy to take us! Such hospitality is so rare and appreciated.

This property is walking distance to the charming little town, and staying here affords the rights to use the beautiful facility at their sister property mentioned above (spa, pool, restaurant). The prices were very reasonable and the room was well appointed. We had a junior suite. Be sure to ask for packages, when we did the price magically got dropped by 30 Euro a night just for asking.

The only thing which was a bit inconvenient was the room was up a flight, down a long hallway, down a few steps, up a few steps etc. This really was not an issue except that we had a ton of luggage, but even that was the bellboy's problem, not ours.

Highly recommend. We are hotel snobs and this one went beyond our expectations.
