We stayed here for 4 nights in room 409. This was my second stay and I last visited in 2004.
The positives:
- good location
- great bed
- parking next door at 10 euros per night
- room overlooked the garden
The not so good:
- the service, I think the people in this hotel thought they were the guests. When we checked in I had to ask for someone to help with our luggage, the front desk clerk looked like he couldn't be bothered. When my husband asked about using the Internet they pointed to a terminal in the corner which you had to pay for but then we were told that there were two free Internet terminals upstairs. When we checked out, the porter watched us drag our luggage through the lobby and load it into our car
- the breakfast was un-appetising, the hot component was unedible, the eggs were runny and the bacon and sausages were grey (no wonder they never needed replenishing).
- the bathroom was a little tired and the L'Occitane toiletries from my visit in 2004 were long gone
- we had problems with our parking ticket everyday and had to go to reception just so we could get our car out. Each day we'd say, "So this will definitely work for the rest of the stay?" We were always assured it would, there were no apologies, it was like we were inconveniencing them
- they overcharged us for breakfast, but quickly rectified it
This does not feel like a four star hotel.
