I had an extremely annoying experience with the receptionist of this hotel because of a parking issue. The hotel advertises parking possibilities but in fact they do not have a parking lot. They just have a few tickets for the near garage "Mozart" that they sell for 13 € a day. On the first night at my arrival I asked for a parking possibility during my stay and received such a ticket. On the next day I went to a sight-seeing tour and came back to the hotel in the early afternoon. I was confronted with reproaches from the receptionist (another person than I had met the night before) that I should have brought the ticket back earlier. Another person had made a reservation for it. I explained that I had not been told about this and that I had received the ticket yesterday and would need it for three more days. As I had told the receptionist at my arrival. But she demanded the ticket. She explained that it wasn't her fault (!). She did not offer help to resolve my parking problem and did not apologize for the trouble. When I asked what could be done next, I was told to go to the garage and ask for the rate, which the receptionist did not know, because "rates would change every day". This information was wrong.
The receptionist knew that I did not speak French. In any other hotel I visited so far, the receptionist would have offered to talk to the people in the garage and find out the rate for me but not in this hotel.
In the garage I had to pay another 8 € additional to the 13€ I had given the hotel. And I learned that they offered cheaper rates if one stayed for several days. In fact the rate of the garage were cheaper than the offer by the hotel if one stayed for more than 3 days!!
My room in the hotel was at the first floor. The Hotel had a precipitous narrow staircase and an old, tiny elevator. I traveled with one rather large suitcase. It hardly fitted into the elevator. A large trolley would not have fitted in. No one helps you with your luggage. I wonder how old people are supposed to handle their luggage!
The room was so small that I could not enter the bathroom and open my suitcase at the same time.
There was only one window to the side of the street. At night it was kept closed because of the loud noise from the traffic in the street.
The bed consisted of sheets and one cylindric French pillow. Only a woolen blanket was given that was no option for me because of a house dust mite allergy.
In conclusion I can not recommend this hotel. During my trip through southern France I found hotels (even of a lower category) that were conducted by much more friendly people and offered at lower rates larger and more comfortable rooms.
