We stayed in November 2003 and were very satisfied. We loved the view and were just disappointed that it was such a long walk down the beach from where the restaurants and action were. With a baby we couldn't be away from the hotel that long at one time. Great big window overlooking the blue-green sea and it was a good thing we had that ocean breeze - to air out the smokey room! I would stay there again (service was great, hotel was charming, bed was most comfortable hotel bed (soft) I've ever slept in) but I would put a blanket under the door to keep out others' smoke. Sometime in the middle of the night it got really smoky and I couldn't sleep and by morning I got a headache. I'm assuming it was somebody smoking next door, cuz it was fine when we got there.

What a disappointment! We stayed here 10 years ago & loved it. This time, I took one look at the room and switched to another hotel, even though I had already paid for the first night! Mold on the walls, awful beds (they were new 10 years ago)--it made me sad that such a charming place had gone downhill so fast. The view & location are great, but the hotel-- sad to say-- is not up to snuff.
