Do not stay at the Hotel Choiseul.
My wife and I have just spent five nights at this hotel.
It is advertised as having multi lingual staff but either they could not or did not want to talk English. From the moment we arrived to booking out the staff were generally unhelpful ( except one person) and miserable.
The rooms were just about clean but borderline. The towels were changed daily ( we only got one hand towel between two for three days) but they must have been ten years old and were held together by luck, not material...
We reported the fact that we could get virtually no cold water from the tap but it was not attended to.
No kettle
No clock
Five coat hangers for a family room.
Window curtains had holes in them.
Continental beakfast was the worst we have ever had. It was 7 euros each and consisted of drink, corn flakes only cereal, bread rolls, croissants, jam and honey, no meat and no cheese. Service was by one girl and it was hit and miss. One morning it was so bad my wife and I walked out and ate at the railway station! It was a vast improvment and cheaper.
This was the worst hotel on the contininent we have ever stayed in.
We appreciate at £62 per night we were not going to get the Ritz but even budget hotels should have a minimum standard, this hotel had no standards at all. It is advertised as a good three star hotel but in reality it is worth no stars at all.
