My husband and I stayed here for 2 days at the end of July-August 2004. The hotel had a lot of charm. It was an old estate, so the house was big and old with much character. However, I was disappointed with the location. After spending some time in Nice, I would have preferred to stay farther east (the hotel was located far west, away from the heart of the main attractions). If you can afford or want to spend money on a taxi, I would suggest this hotel, but if you like to walk to places, you will have your work cut out for you staying here. Also, this section of town was a bit run down, not what I was expecting for Nice and the French Riviera. Watch out for the dog poo on the streets, its everywhere!
The hotel was nice, just not in a good location.

Thank you very much for your review. I just want to specify: the hotel is off the main road : that is the reason why it is very quiet, even if we are in the center of Nice. Because, we are in the center of Nice ! The city code is 06000, that is to say “Center of Nice”. We are at 300 meters from the Promenade des Anglais and at about 10 minutes, from the walking streets. We are in the russian area, not too far from the russian church that is one of the most famous place to visit in Nice, closed to the “Fine Art Museum : Musee Cheret”. And in Nice, there are buses that go everywhere in the city. The nearest one is at about 50 meters from the hotel gate, in our street ! And for 1 Euro only, you can get buses to reach any city or village in the Alpes Maritimes : Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Menton, Saint Paul de Vence …. Do you need to spend money for taxis ?
